Zoe Saldana's parents Asalia and Aridio Saldana, were born on the 19th June, 1978, in Passaic New Jersey. Both her parents were both born in Puerto Rico. Her birthplace was in Queens. Her family relocated from Queens in New York and to the Dominican Republic when she was 10; they lived there for seven years. Zoe's passion for dance was spurred by the time they were in the Dominican Republic. Zoe started her dance learning through ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy.
